Our History
Since its founding, W4VB Tidewater Wireless has served as a dedicated technical collective providing Amateur Radio infrastructure across Hampton Roads. Our mission remains the maintenance of resilient regional network systems and the fostering of technical expertise within the local community.
The W4VB Network
W4VB operates a multi-site, community-focused infrastructure across Norfolk, providing a distributed network for regional resilience. Our technical data environment encompasses VHF, UHF, 220 MHz, APRS packet, GMRS, and Meshtastic nodes, ensuring robust cross-band connectivity for Hampton Roads emergency communication and experimentation.
